Emergo technologies GmbH built the Veloguard app as a free app. This SERVICE is provided by emergo technologies GmbH at no cost and is intended for use as is.

Bluetooth Connectivity

Our Service uses Bluetooth technology to enable seamless interaction between your device and Veloguard locks. This functionality is integral to providing specific features within our app, such as connecting to and communicating with Veloguard locks.

How We Use Bluetooth:

We use Bluetooth to detect nearby devices, establish connections, and facilitate communication between your mobile device and connected devices. The primary purpose of using Bluetooth technology is to sync data between your app and the lock. Access to Bluetooth is only initiated after you grant permission. You can manage Bluetooth permissions at any time from your device settings.

We ensure that any data transmitted via Bluetooth is handled securely.

Our app does not use Bluetooth to collect or share personal information without your explicit consent. Appropriate security measures are in place to protect data transmitted over Bluetooth. We regularly review and update these measures to safeguard your information. We encourage you to review and adjust your device’s Bluetooth settings in line with your preferences to control how and when your device connects to others.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Local storage

It stores access-data to owned Veloguard locks locally on the device on which the app has been installed. Access-data allows to retrieve the related Veloguard lock data. The lock data does not contain any link to personally identifiable data.

We retain the personal information we collect from you only for as long as is necessary for the purpose(s) set out in this privacy policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Once the purpose for which information was collected is fulfilled, we will either permanently delete your data or anonymize it, unless statutory retention requirements must be fulfilled.
